Remote Technical Support Specialist
Description & Responsibilities
As a Remote Technical Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance to our clients and internal teams, helping them resolve software, hardware, and system-related issues. You will troubleshoot problems, guide users through solutions, and escalate complex technical issues when necessary. This role combines customer service skills with technical knowledge in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. Comprehensive training and certifications are provided.
- Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote desktop tools
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity
- Guide users through step-by-step solutions and troubleshooting procedures
- Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical staff with detailed notes
- Contribute to the knowledge base by creating guides and FAQ articles
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or related field preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and common business software applications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and remote access tools
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Previous technical support or help desk experience is a plus but not required
